Thank you for following the link to respond to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Preparedness Study, for Tulane University, New Orleans. The Public Policy Research Lab at Louisiana State University is assisting Tulane University with recruitment. Respondents who participate in an in-person survey for this study will receive a $50 gift card to Walmart as a thank you for their time.

In this study, during a 60 minute in-person survey, we will be asking about how your household and community are positioned to deal with environmental threats to their well-being, specifically in relation to oil-spills.  The information you provide will be combined with responses from other Gulf coastal residents in order for us to learn about how well-prepared various coastal communities are for these problems, and to assist us in identifying ways to help them better prepare. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this study.

Data collection for this study has two parts.

Part 1: Please fill out the recruitment form here: Tulane Gulf Coast Oil Spill Preparedness Study

(please refer to your ID number included in your letter)

Part 2: A select group of respondents who complete Part 1 will be re-contacted by phone to schedule a 60 minute in-person survey in your local area with a representative from Tulane University.

Your participation is very important and your responses will remain strictly confidential. This survey is a critical element of our overall efforts to promote and sustain vibrant coastal communities in your state.
